"Sit, sit, sit," the kid mumbled in her baby voice like she did every day.
Oh-o! He knew what was coming next and dreaded the moment.
"Story, tell story," little black eyes looked up at him eagerly.
His eyes fell on a toy elephant and he managed to tell her a story about an elephant named Ella.
The kid loved it. "Again, again..."
..........
When 'Adventures of Ella Elephant' was finally a book, I realized those endless story repetitions and on-the-spot storytelling had paid off.
Now, someone had to bring Ella to life. In pictures.
I was on cloud nine when Divyesh Swamikutty stepped in as a God-sent.
His original, hand-drawn illustrations elevated the story to a whole new level. Guess it's what catches the reader first. And makes a happy impression.
Thank you Divs! The Ella series has only just begun and we have a long way to travel with it.Adventures of Ella Elephant is on the Amazon Kindle Store. Click here to view / buy.
Hope this happy storybook brings joy to all the kids who listen to it read out to them. :)
